Living in your student accommodation is exciting
Leaving home to go to university is a very exciting time. For the first time in your life, you will be living independently without your parents following your every move and telling you what you should be doing when. But you can’t just pack our bags and catch the next train to your new home. You need to find somewhere to live first and this can be as easy or as difficult as you make it. As with most things it is all in the planning, getting organized early will save you a lot of headaches later on so as soon as you know which university you will be studying at start searching for nearby student accommodation straight away. Most of the major university cities have plenty of accommodation on offer, but the best places rent quickly and you don’t want to be stuck with whatever’s leftover at the beginning of the term. There is quite a lot to think about such as location and budget and much as it pains me to say it, it may be a good idea to get Mum and Dad involved just to offer some advice on this occasion. They have been around a little bit longer than you and might actually be able to offer some useful advice…maybe?
